User Guide to NFTeapot
Welcome to the NFTeapot user guide. Follow these steps to set up the NFTeapot app on Shopify. This guide will cover everything you need to know about using our app, from after installation to fulfilling NFT orders.
After installing NFTeapot, you will see our NFTeapot App under the “Apps” section of your Shopify admin page.
Select the NFTeapot app and you will be greeted with our dashboard. This interface allows you to navigate between creating an NFT, viewing draft NFTs, published NFTs, and managing your fulfillments. Alternatively, you can navigate using the tabs at the top as well.
Creating an NFT
Once you are ready to create your first NFT, click “Go” under the “Create New Draft” section. You will be greeted with the following screen below. Here you will be able to upload your selected media. Give your NFT a name, and you are free to include a description and/or external links for your customers to learn more about the product.
After this step, please select a blockchain network that you would like your NFT to be minted (created) on. Add any properties if you would like, these would include textual traits that describe your NFT in an itemized fashion (if applicable). Finally, provide the supply (amount) of NFTs that are available to be minted and delivered - please note that this cannot be changed afterwards.
If you aren’t finished but would like to save your progress you can click “Save” and your draft will be saved under “Draft NFTs”.
When you are all finished, click “Publish”.
After clicking “Publish” you will see a pop-up to confirm that your NFT has been published. Please review all fields to ensure you are happy with your creation. Once published, the metadata (ie. image, name, description, blockchain, supply) will be locked and cannot be changed.
After clickting “Publish”, you are now ready to sell your NFT! Congratulations.
Selling an NFT
After the NFT has been created and published, navigate to the “Published NFTs” tab. Alternatively, you can also navigate to this page through the taskbar above as well.
On your dashboard, you will see your newly published NFT and its current status.
Under the “Actions” tab, click the dropdown menu for your selected NFT and click “View Product”.
Once you are on the “View Product” page, navigate to “Product status” on the right hand side. Click on the dropdown menu, and change your product status from “Draft” to “Active”. Remember to select a sales channel you would like to sell your NFT on.
Next, ensure that your inventory is stocked at “NFTeapot” under the Inventory section of the product view page.
Once you’re all done, don’t forget to save your work.
After the settings have been applied, your NFT will now be available in the selected Shopify store and channel.
We recommend you add a note to your customer documentation and order confirmation email that they will be receiving an additional email from firstname.lastname@example.org with instructions on how to mint their NFT. This is the only method we provide to claim an NFT.
Buying an NFT
Buying an NFT from a store is the same as purchasing any other product on Shopify. Click “Add to cart” or “Buy it now” and go through the payment process to purchase the NFT.
Once the NFT is ready to be minted, you will receive instructions from email@example.com similar to the one below with instructions on how to mint their NFT.
After signing in, you can see all the key information about the NFT, as well as a button to connect a web 3.0 wallet. In this case we will be connecting a MetaMask wallet and we recommend using a desktop browser.
